If you are looking for help with your child’s emotions and performance you’ve come to the right place!
Conscious Mindfullness is a programme developed to impart thinking skills, creative thinking, decision making, mind management and harnessing the immense potential of the human mind. Conscious Mindfullness has been shown to contribute directly to the development of cognitive and performance skills in the young. When children learn to be more ‘present’ and less anxious, they often find they can pay attention better and improve the quality of their performance, in the classroom, on the sports field, and in the performing arts for example. They often become more focused, more able to approach situations from a fresh perspective, use existing knowledge more effectively, and pay attention.
Conscious Mindfullness training involves tuning in to internal and external experiences with curiosity resulting in increased self-awareness, social awareness, and self-confidence. Practicing conscious mindfullness and including these essential skills can greatly benefit our children. They learn to pay attention to what is going on at that moment and pause before acting/reacting and it helps children calm down, regulate their emotions and relieve stress!
Features of Conscious Mindfullness Programme:
1] Heart Intelligence Exercises: The heart has been considered the source of emotion, courage and wisdom for centuries, which we can call upon to live our lives with more balance, greater creativity and enhanced intuitive capacities. [More information available at www.heart-math.org]. Benefits of Heart Intelligence exercises:
Quickly re-balance mind, body and emotions as you reduce stress
Build resilience through improved health, stamina and well-being
Avoid burnout in chaotic and changing environments
Maximize creativity and innovation
Boost performance and increase mental clarity and memory
Be less reactive, think more clearly, make better decisions- especially under pressure
2] Switch Words: are power words that speak directly to our subconscious mind, helping clear blocks to success and activating our ability to manifest love, money, creativity, self-healing and success. Switch words work, because the subconscious mind actually directs up to 95% of our actions and decisions.
3] Breathing Exercises: The way we breathe affects our whole body. When you learn to take deep, slow breaths, the body reacts in many positive ways:
Breathing Detoxifies and Releases Toxins
Breathing Releases Tension
Breathing Relaxes the Mind/Body and Brings Clarity
Breathing Strengthens the Immune System
Breathing makes the Heart Stronger.
4] Board Games: The aim is to entertain and bring children together through competitive and cooperative game play. Board games have distinct boundaries. Living in a complex society, children need clear limits to feel safe. Board games can help your child weave his/her wild and erratic side into a more organized, mature, and socially acceptable personality. After all, staying within the boundaries (not intruding on others’ space, for example) is crucial to leading a successful social and academic life.
5] Thinking Skills: are mental processes we use to do things like: solve problems, make decisions, ask questions, construct plans, evaluate ideas, organize information and create objects.
6] Psychocosmograms: are elaborate diagrams constructed as energy grids and enables one to progress, learn and to keep one’s goals and aims in mind.
7] Flash Cards: are effective memory-aid tools that can help students learn new material quickly. They allow you to quickly recall information, test knowledge and strengthen memory.
8] Colour Meditation: involves focusing on colour vibration in order to bring about balance in mind and body; promote healing, expand creativity, encourage self-expression and obtain peace of mind.
9] Sacred Geometry: occur abundantly in nature, in countless masterpieces of art and architecture over many millennia and concisely explains the symbolic fundamentals of geometry and proportions which appear throughout our Universe from atoms to galaxies; gives a better understanding of Pythagoras.
10] Emotional eating & Mindful eating: is a program to introduce children to the concepts of emotional hunger and physical hunger and to appreciate natural, traditional food habits of our culture. This program would also introduce concepts on health physically and emotionally.
